Stand Out with Safety Features
Water features at a vacation rental - the pool, hot tub, or beach - are prime reasons why people book your property over others. They may also be the reason people aren't booking. Here are three tips to stand out from other Daytona Beach vacation rentals when it comes to safety.
Show Safety Features in Photos
Your vacation rental turnover specialist can help you stage your outdoor space for photos, but don't forget to include safety features like gates and fences in the pictures. Guests with children want to ensure their safety by removing access to water features, like the pool. A pool gate or fence should be shown in your listing photos to demonstrate that the area can be closed off when adult supervision is not available.
Sunscreen can make pool decks slippery and cause slip and fall accidents. Make sure surfaces surrounding pools and hot tubs are appropriately cleaned and dried between guests.
Here are a few other ideas to stand out with safety features:
Post pool/hot tub rules in the welcome binder and around the area.
Send guests a reminder email of pool rules the day of their check-in.
Let guests know you have their safety in mind - add your rules to your listing so they know before they book.
Include Flotation Devices
Parents don't often think to bring a life jacket for their children to wear at the beach. Providing a few life jackets in youth sizes will let travelers know you value them and their safety. Vacation homes with a pool should include a rescue float and life jackets in a few sizes.
